The e-Commerce giant has shut down the website for e-mail accounts that customers used to log in to Amazon’s online marketplace.

The website, Amazon.com, was set to remain open on Monday after Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos and chief executive officer Marc Benioff said it was too soon to know how many of its 500 million registered users would be able to log on to their accounts.

The company has said that it would likely open the site again later this week.

Amazon has been battling a growing number of cyberattacks that have disrupted its business, and the cyberattacks have forced Amazon to take more aggressive measures to defend its network.
